Challenge

Valiant needed to quickly replace its CEO as the result of his announced retirement. The Board of Directors wanted to select an internal talent for the position, with four highly qualified and talented candidates. The challenge was not only speed, but identifying the best candidate for the job while respecting the vast experience and depth of each candidate in a way that would retain all team members.

Solution

Stewart Leadership was asked by a board member who had previously used them to custom-design a confidential, robust, and data-driven executive assessment approach. It consisted of quantitative and qualitative 360° feedback, quantitative psychometric assessments, a strategic acumen assessment, and stakeholder interviews. Stewart Leadership managed the process seamlessly while building and enhancing strong relationships of trust as an ongoing partner after the CEO selection.

Results

Stewart Leadership guided and advised the Valiant Board and Selection Committee in its choice of a new CEO.
