Teaming for Success Model

As organizations tackle more complex and emerging problems, they often turn to teams to find and implement solutions. With the importance of teams increasing, people across industries are increasingly members of multiple teams, juggling the demands, pressures, and hopes of success for each team at the same time.

Being on multiple teams at once requires a new set of skills. These teamwork skills often don’t have the luxury of slowly being developed over time. When teaming is done poorly, it can lead to workforce disengagement, squandered resources, and intense confusion.

Professionals need an accelerated approach to working together and figuring out emerging problems. That’s where we come in.

What is Teaming?

Teaming describes a new approach to team development. It is a rapid, practical, and effective process for creating and implementing successful teams. Regardless of teams being temporary or permanent, intact or cross-functional, or focusing on known or emerging opportunities, teaming provides an on-the-fly approach to solving problems.

Stewart Leadership’s Teaming for Success Model enables people to develop team skills, apply new knowledge, grow their networks, and simultaneously get things done while learning to do it better. The Teaming for Success Model is comprised of nine dimensions that guide teams into high performance:

Why do we exist as a team?

What is the situation facing the team?

How clear are roles and responsibilities on the team?

What milestones and plans will guide the team?

People & Resources

What skills and expertise do we need to have on the team?

How committed is each team member to the team?

What behaviors do we expect from each person on the team?

How is information shared within the team?

How do we track and measure excellence?

Whether you have an intact team preparing for a new challenge, or a team just starting to launch, Stewart Leadership’s Teaming for Success Model develops crucial team behaviors and helps you manage the ups and downs of your team’s journey.
