About Steve Crosby, M.Ed

Steve brings more than three decades of experience developing leaders across a diverse palate of business, education and community development organizations. His background includes years in the biotech and imbedded computing sectors, sports and recreation industries, higher education, as well as the non-profit sector. He has extensive experience utilizing experiential approaches to team and leadership development that foster higher engagement and yield deeper learning outcomes. Organization’s he’s worked with include: The Colorado Outward Bound School, Action Learning Associates, Patagonia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, University of Denver’s Executive Education and MBA Program, Denver Public Schools, Bechtell Corp., Hewlett Packard, The University of Wisconsin, Madison, Colorado College, Exact Sciences, and Amgen.

Steve’s executive coaching approach begins with the foundational belief that every individual holds the answers to their own challenges. He is both compassionate and challenging while engaging his clients to learn how they can more readily access their deepest wisdom and develop into their own style of leadership. He also brings a background that includes extensive mindfulness practices and a variety of approaches to emotional health and resilience.

His undergraduate degree is from the University of New Hampshire. He holds a Master of Education in Adult Education from the University of Auckland, NZ where his graduate research explored best practices in leadership education. He also served as senior research assistant to the Head of the College of Education for a large meta-analysis exploring factors that influence learning effectiveness. He is a graduate of the Newfield Network’s ICF accredited Coaching Certification Program and is also certified as a Situational Leadership trainer.
