Cheryl Schlater is an experienced, global HR leader with a diverse background in Human Resources. As a Leadership Consultant, Executive Coach and Facilitator she believes in helping people and organizations deliver results. She has developed a brand of being an approachable, trusted advisor and partner who brings her passion for developing talent and driving business outcomes to every client engagement.

Over the past twenty-five years, Cheryl was an Executive Human Resource Leader at GE in the aviation and shared services sectors, and she is currently consulting across of variety of industries for medium and smaller sized companies. Her background has breadth with demonstrated success in a variety of generalist and specialist HR roles. She has successfully led large teams that were geographically separated. She knows how to navigate complex organizational dynamics; engage people; and build effective, high performing teams. She is passionate about leveraging people’s strengths and talents. Cheryl’s career has focused on client partnership, executive assessment and coaching, talent acquisition, talent management, strategic workforce planning, organizational design, leadership development, culture transformation, union & non-union relations, and process improvement.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and minor in business attending the University of Wisconsin – Lacrosse. She then obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Resources from Purdue University. Cheryl is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and enjoys facilitating and coaching on process improvement. She completed her coaching certification via Lee Hecht Harrison.

Cheryl grew up in Wisconsin, moved three times and currently lives in Cincinnati, OH with her husband. She has two teenage daughters, two dogs, and she enjoys walking, reading, and boating. Cheryl is also an active volunteer at her daughters’ school.
