How a U.S. Services Company Built Executive-Ready Leaders to Support Growth
In partnership with Stewart Leadership, the organization elevated executive presence among first-line leaders to strengthen its leadership pipeline.
Challenge
Growth demands exposed the need to elevate executive presence and prepare frontline leaders for broader leadership roles.
Solution
Stewart Leadership delivered a data-driven, eight-month program aligned to strategy and focused on executive presence.
Results
Leaders gained confidence, visibility, and readiness, resulting in promotions and a sustainable leadership pipeline.
The Challenge:
Preparing Leaders for the Next Level
Every organization reaches a point where strong management alone is no longer enough. For this U.S. services company, that moment arrived as ambitious expansion plans took shape.
Branch General Managers and Service Managers formed the backbone of daily operations, but as responsibilities grew, many capable leaders needed to elevate their executive presence and leadership confidence to succeed at the next level. While internal development programs existed, leaders recognized the need for a more focused, strategic approach aligned directly to business growth. Without it, the organization risked inconsistent performance, limited advancement opportunities, and the loss of emerging talent.
To address this inflection point, the company partnered with Stewart Leadership to design a leadership experience rooted in business strategy and built to accelerate executive readiness from within.

The Solution:
Elevating Executive Presence with Purpose
The engagement began with deep alignment among Stewart Leadership, the CEO, and the Learning & Development leader to ensure the program reflected the organization’s culture and strategic priorities.
A discovery phase established a strong foundation through customized Executive Presence and Influence Assessments, manager evaluations, and stakeholder interviews across the business. These insights informed the design of an eight-month development journey grounded in Stewart Leadership's Executive Presence Model.
The program blended multiple development modalities: facilitated kickoff sessions involving direct supervisors, monthly interactive workshops, peer coaching groups, and a capstone Application Project. Each participant addressed a real business challenge and presented strategic recommendations directly to the CEO, COO, and CHRO, providing visibility, accountability, and real-world application throughout the journey.
Executive Presence in Action
When leadership development is aligned with strategy, it builds leaders who inspire, influence, and drive results.
At Stewart Leadership, we design experiences that elevate executive presence and prepare leaders to meet the demands of growth.
Results:
Recognized, Measurable, and Sustained Impact
The redesigned supply chain organization delivered impact far beyond structural alignment.
The impact was immediate and visible. During the company’s national kickoff, the CEO named the program one of the organization’s top accomplishments of the year.
Participants reported high engagement and satisfaction, citing workshops and peer coaching as especially valuable. By the program’s conclusion, multiple leaders had already earned promotions providing clear evidence that development translated into performance.Senior leaders observed meaningful behavioral shifts, including greater confidence, stronger communication, improved collaboration, and more empathetic people leadership. The final Application Project presentations showcased emerging talent and reinforced the program’s business value.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, the partnership continues to expand. What began as a targeted development initiative has become a core component of the company’s leadership strategy, cultivating a consistent, confident pipeline of executive-ready leaders.
