You're not alone if you're wrestling with one or more of these challenges:
Leadership Pipeline Failing
- 72% of HR leaders struggle with successor capability gaps.
- When senior leaders leave, no one is ready to step up.
- Meanwhile, 70% of CHROs report that current leaders aren't prepared to develop the mid-level leaders who should be your future bench strength.
Leaders Can't Keep Pace with Growth
- Your business is expanding, but your leadership team isn't scaling with it.
- Only 30% of CHROs believe their leaders can effectively lead the change required for sustained growth.
- The strategies that got you here won't get you there.
New Leaders Struggling in Transitions
- High-potential talent gets promoted into executive roles, then struggles in the first 90 days.
- They lack the support and development to successfully navigate the complexity of their new responsibilities.
Leadership Programs Not Delivering Results
- Only 11% of executives believe current leadership development programs are effective.
- Research shows 75% of training content is forgotten within a week.
- You're investing in programs that don't create lasting change.
Executive Team Misalignment
- Silos, politics, and conflicting priorities fracture your leadership team's effectiveness.
- Strategic initiatives stall because executives aren't aligned on direction or how to work together.
Change Initiatives Losing Momentum

- Your teams are exhausted, resistant, and skeptical of the next transformation effort.
High-Potential Talent Walking Out

- You're losing the future leaders you can't afford to lose.
Pressure to Prove ROI
- Budget scrutiny demands you demonstrate measurable impact on every leadership investment while simultaneously being asked to develop more leaders, faster, across multiple levels of the organization.
Recognize your organization in these challenges?
You're looking at problems executive coaching is uniquely designed to solve.
The Most Effective Leadership Development Tool
Executive coaching is the most effective leadership development tool; whether you're using it to accelerate a new CEO's transition, reinforce learning from leadership training programs, support executives through M&A integration, or develop high-potential leaders during rapid growth.
Here's why it works when other approaches struggle:
Confidential Space for Honest Development
Executive coaching provides what leaders can't get anywhere else inside your organization: a confidential thinking partner who isn't invested in organizational politics.
The higher leaders rise, the less honest feedback they receive. Coaching creates the psychological safety leaders need to examine their leadership honestly, surface blind spots, and work through challenges they can't discuss with internal stakeholders.
Timely and Specific to Real Challenges
Unlike training that happens away from the work, coaching meets leaders where they are: in the middle of real decisions, real pressure, and real relationships.
Whether navigating a merger, driving transformation, navigating conflict, or stepping into expanded scope, leaders develop the skills they need in the moments that matter.
Because the work is grounded in actual challenges, the impact shows up in the business immediately.
Focused Reinforcement That Creates Lasting Change
One-and-done training events don't change behavior. Research shows 75% of training content is forgotten within a week.
Coaching provides ongoing reinforcement and accountability over time. These are the conditions neuroscience tells us are required for adults to change ingrained patterns and develop new capabilities.
This is why coaching works as both a standalone solution and as the ingredient that makes your other leadership development investments actually stick.
Sustainable Behavior Change, Not Just Knowledge Transfer
The problems your executives face don't have playbook answers. They need stronger judgment, clearer thinking, better self-awareness, and the ability to influence without authority.
Those capabilities can't be taught in a workshop. They're developed through guided practice with an experienced partner who's navigated similar complexity.
Organizations see 788% average ROI on coaching investments because it changes how leaders think and act, not just what they know.
This is why executive coaching is often the centerpiece of our client partnerships, often combined with strategic planning, leadership assessments, team development, and targeted training to create customized solutions that solve your specific organizational challenges.

How We Deliver Executive Coaching at Organizational Scale
Stewart Leadership has spent over four decades helping organizations build leadership capacity through coaching. We don't offer one-size-fits-all programs. Instead, we design coaching strategies that match your organizational challenges and scale to your needs.
Individual Executive Coaching
Deep 1:1 partnerships with senior leaders and high-potential executives facing critical transitions, complex challenges, or capability gaps that impact organizational performance.
Typically 1-3 sessions per month over 3-12 months. Our coaches bring 20+ years of leadership experience and work with leaders on real business problems, not hypothetical scenarios.
Group Coaching
Cost-effective development for cohorts of 4-6 leaders at similar levels, whether that is emerging leaders, new directors, or VP-level talent.
Meeting 1-2 times per month, group coaching creates peer learning communities while building common leadership language and capabilities across your organization.
Particularly effective when combined with training programs to reinforce learning and ensure application.
Team Coaching
Executive team alignment, new team formation, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership team effectiveness.
We work with intact teams to improve how they work together, make decisions, and drive enterprise results.
Often combined with strategic planning or organizational design work.
Stewy: AI-Powered Coaching
Our proprietary AI coach extends coaching accessibility across your entire organization, providing on-demand support and reinforcing development between sessions.
While human coaching remains most effective for complex leadership challenges, Stewy ensures coaching principles scale beyond your highest-level executives.
Our Partnership Approach
Every Stewart Leadership engagement is customized to your needs. We're not selling a coaching program—we're solving your organizational challenges with the right combination of coaching, assessments, training, strategic planning, and consulting.
Common combinations include:
- Executive coaching + succession planning + middle manager development
- Executive assessment + board advisory + CEO coaching
- Executive coaching + team alignment + strategic planning
- Change management consulting + leadership training + group coaching
Our Five-Step Coaching Process
Successful coaching requires the coach, the organization, and the leader(s) working together. Our process is highly responsive to the growth needs of the individual, the team, and the organization.
5-Step Process:

Discovery
We meet with leaders being coached and their organizational sponsors to discuss initial focus areas and establish expectations. Separate conversations paired with confidentiality allow both participants and sponsors to discuss needs candidly. For coaching to succeed, participants must recognize a clear need and have a personal desire to develop.

Assessment
We identify leadership strengths, opportunities, and preferences through informal and formal assessment. Informal assessment explores context, needs, and challenges. Formal assessment typically includes the LEAD NOW! 360, personality profiles, and communication style inventories. Our coaches combine assessment methods to launch discovery and awareness, giving participants ownership over their development.

Action Plan
Participants co-create customized Action Plans that clarify focus areas aligned with organizational goals. Plans incorporate built-in success measurements, promote accountability, identify critical resources, and outline how participants can involve others to expand coaching impact. This blueprint for success aligns individual development, supervisor expectations, and organizational needs.

Development
Periodic meetings support Action Plan implementation. Our coaches help participants identify success and growth areas, plus where additional support is needed. Consistent follow-up maintains focus on big-picture outcomes and motivation through setbacks. Coaches provide constructive feedback that increases awareness and capacity. Between sessions, participants have unlimited access to their coach when challenges emerge.

Results
We evaluate results by assessing progress against needs identified by participants and sponsors. This includes recognizing and celebrating accomplishments—critical for maintaining momentum. We prepare next-phase action plans with sustainability measures to support ongoing development even after formal coaching ends.
