Maria Garrett is an Executive Coach and seasoned Corporate Talent Development Leader with more than 30 years of experience designing and delivering talent development strategies, programs, change initiatives, and team interventions aimed at optimizing organizational performance behaviors and outcomes.

When coaching leaders, Maria is both results-focused and people-oriented. Known to be pragmatic in both style and approach, she helps leaders expand awareness and perspective about their current leadership impact so that they can identify, understand, and move past behavior patterns and reaction tendencies that sometimes get in the way of our ongoing leadership success. Maria also has first-hand experience supporting leadership integrations and transitions and customizing and facilitating interventions for intact teams who are working to diagnose and overcome common organizational leadership performance challenges. While much of her experience comes from corporate work in the technology sector with global companies like Motorola, Freescale, AMD and NXP Semiconductors, she’s also experienced working with IT orgs, Legal & Finance teams, Sales, Product & Marketing teams and with top leaders in manufacturing organizations. She has held senior HR leadership roles in company environments ranging from the very small & local to the very large, multi-national, geographically distributed & organizationally complex. In her last corporate role, she led Enterprise Learning and top-tier Leadership Development programming for a multi-billion-dollar, multinational, semiconductor engineering and manufacturing firm.

Maria is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a Certified Executive Coach, and a Certified Career Coach. She is also certified in the use of leadership competency assessments and personality instruments and is a recognized and deeply experienced change practitioner. Maria holds an advanced degree in Organizational Behavior & Leadership Studies and undergraduate degrees in both Business Management and Organizational Communications. An east-coast native, Maria currently resides in Austin, Texas where she enjoys volunteering time and service to philanthropic efforts. travelling, entertaining, exploring the outdoors, live music, and college sports. She is an avid podcast listener and always has a book (or two, or three) by her side.
